We will inspect your tyres, inner tubes and wheel rims to find and advise you of the probable cause. We replace remove foreign objects from your tyres, install new inner tubes, advise you if you need new rim tape and/or tyres. We might also suggest the benefits of having tyre armour fitted.

Your bike wheel might show signs of wobbling, rubbing against the brakes, wearing down one of your rim brake blokess faster than the other, handling and steering might feel odd uneven wear of your tyres. We can inspect your wheels and advise you of the best solution and carry out in a timely manner.

Signs your bike brakes are not working including squeakingor other noise, not gripping, they are rubbing, louder than usual or not releasing. Whatever your concerns we can inspect your bike, give you advice and then repair, adjust and/or replace parts for your safety and peace of mind allowing you to continue enjoying your journey.

Your bike should be cleaned after each month of cycling, after 10-15 rides or if the bike has been stood for a long time. Leaving dirt on your bike holds moisture, grit and gunk against your parts causing corrosion. The bike will need degreasing, dirt removed and ideally steam cleaned which we can carry out for you.

Bike tyres need to be replaced if you have reduced grip, the rubber is cracking or is brittle, if the are damaged, the tyre bead is broke, deformed or rusty. Sidewalls should not have any tearing. Tyre brands recommend replacing them after 2-4 years or after 2,000+ miles. You can also have a Winter set for surer grip and a Summer ones for speed, as well as going off road. Bike saddle can become ripped and worn, they might be uncomfartable, as we say a good saddle is like a good mattress. Handlebar grips can become grubby, wear through or start slipping round or off, we can help you chose new suitable grips. Pedals might be wobbling, not right for your feet or style of cycling.
